My Solution to the Anti-Vax Problem

The problem as I see it is that these diseases fade from view because of the people who do vaccinate, causing a false sense of security among some small percentage of the population. What these people seem to need is recurring examples of why vaccines are important.

So how about this: families that don't vaccinate are called, jury-duty style, to provide play dates for people who are infected and kept in quarantine. Didn't get the shot and now you're exposed? Oh well, I guess you get to be in quarantine too for awhile. Hope you don't get sick. If called and you don't want to serve, you can get out by getting shots for the whole family, which is the point of the program. But yeah, some form of compulsory exposure for the unvaccinated seems like the only thing that will get the job done.

Just declare the parents a public health hazard. Quarranteen the parents in tents w/ porta pottys and PB sandwiches. DEFACS take the children ... and of course since they now have responsibility for the healthcare of the children, immediately vaccinate them. The parents ... they'll get over it. Everybody else gets to just go on with normal life. Tough? Yes. So what? Lot easier on everyone than having children damaged/ruined simply b/c adult parents want to act like children. JMHO. Sincerely. bruce.

When I was a kid long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... when one of our playmates got mumps, chicken-pox (once in a life illnesses) the mothers got together and had us play....all the kids got sick at the same time. Bettersick young than older. Also, tonsils used to be routinely taken out around 5-7 urs old, not now.

Now it seems like everytime we go out, other peoples kids have runny noses, coughing and sneezing.
