`Red where are "fetal rights" listed in any of your above-referenced texts? Typical transparently one-sided Red argument.
My point remains, there is a tension between the rights of the woman and that of the developing embryo, which evolves with time. Meanwhile, the words "A woman has rights" stick like a bone in the throats of so many.
Show me the foundational religious text that places the places the rights of the embryo at the forefront, reducing the woman to status of host body.
More absolute BS. We are not talking about embryo's or skin cells.. we are talking about full term babies that are murdered after a live birth. "Make them comfortable while they die!!!" You are arguing that it would be just fine that the mother decided to abort her 6 year old child because he made a "C" in first grade arithmetic.
How many children have you murdered lately... huh???

Every time you throw a condom in the wastebasket...
When I was a kid it wasn't uncommon for folks to drown kittens or puppies. It was inconvenient for the dog owners(or cat owners) and all around better for the neighborhood. Ya'll don't want to remember that just thirty yrs. ago the Chinese had a rule about how many kids a family could have. Might still be in effect. China has upteen million people. The planet has upteen billion people. We may not be far from trillions of people(that would be a bigger number than Gates has in money now).
We aren't kids. When I was a kid I got emotional about a lot of stuff. If someone cut down a tree I was ready to go to war. Well, you get over that. You aren't in the operating room. Decisions are made by the ten's of thousands daily. I'd like to see more smart people born. Smart people and nitwits are born every day. It's a conundrum.Last edited by dryheat; 05-09-2019, 11:23.If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.Comment

Vernon was asking a rhetorical question, to which everyone already knows the answer. He wasn't addressing me, because he never does. And I'm not berating him. Your bias is showing.Comment

War, pestilence, famine kills off people daily, along with aging, suicide, murder, abortions, accidents, boredom. According to the BBC E-bola and other diseases are appearing back in Africa, along with tribal infighting.Every time you throw a condom in the wastebasket...

Is English not your native language?
The 14th Amendment defines CITIZENSHIP, not "personhood." Paraphrased, it discusses a large class -- "persons.' Some persons are citizens, and some are not -- and it explains how you can tell the difference. It does NOT say, "It's okay to kill non-citizens without due process."Comment

You didn't ask about citizenship. You asked to be shown anywhere the term birthright was used. I did.
Now I ask of you to show me the word fetus used in any context. (I can nitpick too)
My point is to refrain from using sacred documents as a talking point of proof where the actual proof needed is nonexistent. It's akin to street corner Bible thumpers preaching a random selection of words out of context instead of reading the entire story/lesson.
It never looks well on them and it doesn't look well here either.2016 Chicago Cubs. MLB Champions!
