Actually that exists today, and people are betting big on those data sets as they make long term strategic plans for mineral access to the artic, even as others deny anything is going on. So I'll rephrase: what sort of weather event would have to happen for you to agree that there is something serious going on with the climate?

Agreeing to disagree is the best that can be hoped for in an internet forum, so okay. But, in the end you're saying that there's nothing that your senses could tell you that would allow you to conclude the climate has changed. No data on CO2 emissions or atmospheric concentrations, or
demonstration of how CO2 and methane act as climate regulating gases. No trip to a Glacier National Park where the Glaciers melted years ago, leaving only annual snow pack. No gift cruise with the grandkids in the Arctic ocean, say to the newly ice-free geographic north pole. That's quite a thing to say, that nothing has changed.Comment

We need to listen to geologists not scientists to learn truths about climate change.

Out of curiosity... what's fraudulent in your view--the data itself or the theory behind the data? Are the poles not warming up dramatically? Ice doesn't read fake news before deciding to melt. If the energy is there, it happens. And if you're old, it's happening globally at a rate unprecedented for the bulk of your lifetime. (Just as the theory guys predicted.)Comment

Interesting article about younger Republicans expressing concern about climate change as a ticking time bomb.

Who cares how it's getting warmer, it's getting warmer(the truth? You can't handle the truth!) I know it's hard to get excited about 1 degree per thousand years(there a bouts) but statistically it's big( I can hardly get my head around it). Oh, and CO2 probably isn't helping.
I have to do everything.If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.Comment

The 'why' of anything is important if you want to do something about it. Apathy has its place in life people who are apathetic about the wrong things usually don't succeed. If we want to succeed as a civilization, then we might have to care about the climate.Comment
