and Russia in particular ramping up their military, Trump
isn't the only one with his eye on Greenland. It's strategic
location and the storehouse of scarce minerals it houses
has attracted the attention of our two potential enemies.
If either made a move toward the island, maybe under the
lame excuse of scientific research, what would Denmark do ?
What could she do ? Nothing. Trump would not sit idly by
as would a Biden or Warren and allow China to set up shop.

I can see the U.S. mining for the rare earth minerals we need (and currently get from China) there and maybe maybe setting up an AF or Navy base with Denmark's approval and compensations but to go in and take it by force? Yeah, we could, but that's not who we are and we would no doubt go to Denmark's rescue if any one else tried.

Yeah Trump wants Greenland for the location but from what I read into things the main thing is the rare earth minerals that we do not have and import from China. China currently can hold us hostage on this. With an alternative source the ball would be in our court to completely shut China out if need be. Eventually they are going to give in though since they have about a trillion chinks for every square mile to feed and rely on the rest of the world for food and lodging for all their excess people.
