I wonder if some politician or judges son got red flagged it the feds would raid his house to confiscate his guns.

While the program might have seemingly good points to cover up the real intentions, often just a visit from the local police on someone who has been flagged is enough to stop their actions. What I'm reading it's like a one on one Waco or Ruby Ridge.

Like the olden days, family needs to be responsible for family. If your son is wacko lock up your guns. If your son, daughter, whoever talks of suicide or killing get them help.

Those that just want to kill, steal, loot, and inflict pain are going to do it regardless of how many law abiding citizens are punished.

A program this controversial needs to have cut and dry clear rules and procedures rather than just one persons opinion.

Who can really determine mental instability?

In a real case scenario before guns are just taken they need to go to the wife, kids, others. We don't need another case like what happened to the bump stocks. My 2 cents.
red flag will be treated no different, or likely as another form of Doxxing,

post something on a public forum, and next it's printed, or copied, you IP address is tracked, and someone with a badge comes knocking,

or somebody makes stuff up, says togor, or RED, or Sam or whoever is a threat based on a post here or elsewhere, and a 4am visit is made,,

    don't laugh,, it could happen

The Soviets found declaring dissidents to be "mentally ill" and in need of "treatment" just as effective as a trip to the Big House, Nazi Germany had "protective custody". The Communist Bloc countries found that self-censorship was a low cost way of ensuring social conformity. Will they clean out medicine cabinets ?
Are people with DUI convictions forbidden from owning motor vehicles ? And how come 5th Amendment property rights are suddenly suspended ?

            No, we won't.

"I like taking the guns early, like in this crazy man's case that just took place in Florida ... to go to court would have taken a long time," Trump said at a meeting with lawmakers on school safety and gun violence.

"Take the guns first, go through due process second," Trump said.

That's why I put them on "ignore." If everyone else would, we'd have a much better forum.

It's too bad the forum is winding down, just as there is something meaningful to discuss: whether the younger generation is capable of responsible firearms ownership and use. Say what you will about the second Amendment, if a generation comes along with too many careless representatives, then the majority will eventually get the change they want.

I have "them" on ignore as well. This morning @ 0300 I let our dogs out, as I did so I noticed the scent of a skunk in the air. Same thing with any thread here, one of the three responds with the same skunk smell to try and ignore.

The most tragic failure is "Samdy hook", as the state of Conneticuett has a standing law, allowing fmily members to initiatea proceeding to remove firearms.

As we know the Mother couldn't see herself clear of "Mother's love" and the sperm donor was not involved.

And we are to accept the progressive idiots "good intentions", when they threw Sen. Eagleton, from the VP spot , when it became known that he had "shock treatments", demand and repeat the call for PRESIDENT Trump, be removed from office, and vociferously defended the SEALING of the "Occupant" of the White House background records. Let's not forget the previous occupants attempt to run guns south into Mexico and the result death of US Border Patrol Officer T. Anderson.

Well, we already had "pigs fly" and will not trust them.

Yes, I did not make it to Camp Perry this year. Match this Sat, but were still in the high 100s this week. August had a daily average near 108. Sept is starting much the same.
