Some do take it too seriously. Next thing you know their cousin, who also works part-time in a gun shop, has to represent them online.

The problem here is that the trolls don't come here to discuss things and contribute to the forum. They are here to destroy it with the help of others till everyone just leaves. Big difference between that and just having a different opinion about things. They are the resistance of EVERYTHING.

Trump has a "squad", looks like this forum has one also.

This forum is not like it was long ago, as I said it is like being in some weird hood with a constant driveby's. I hit the wrong key and Cupcake jumps on me for no reason. I won't take this kind of BS and will hit back as hard as I can do. You guy's call them stooges, in Ireland this term has a different meaning. I agree, the stooges are trying to do this to this forum.

This forum isn't like it was years ago is because many years have passed. Many moons ago the internet was a new thing. Now there are multiple venues for posting and reading. I've tried some of them. Too many twenty somethings running off. So Books, where have you been for the last ten years or so?
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

Do you know any of the trolls/stooges? You wouldn't know them if you sat down next to them at a lunch counter. What's the big deal? Put them on ignore; if you have a burning desire to read what they say, then click the unblock for that message only. If you feel you MUST reply, I don't see why unless your ego or "look at me desire" is as big as thiers, then please don't quote. Doing so gives them the minute of fame they seek.

The Jouster Forum isn't the same because the new generations of shooters have moved away from vintage milsurps to the newer, cheaper high power firearms. This forum is left to us old farts that remember the wooden warriors and the transition to matty matel types.

There is so much history, and gunsmithing info from folks who have moved on or passed on.

It is telling that the most active thread on the Jouster Forum is the 2nd Amendment. The admin has rules for use, which the trolls/squad ignore, and sadly the admin refuses to do anything about it. I've been a member since 1984 when I came back from Germany. There are those here that take exception to me being a senior member with such a low post count. It's simple, I've been thru 3 site data corruptions and loss of data, the first and longest had Jouster temperarily hosted by MilSurps, which resulted in other problems. And, just because I read something here, or I have an independent thought, I don't feel I have to express it here.

So, yup...Jouster ain't what it was.

the forum is what you make it,

                              you as in everyone,

differences can be had in a civil matter, and folks that get pushy can be dealt with in a reasonable manner,

we all have a variety of likes, dislikes, and tastes,

key is to have a civil discourse,

some of both sides here get pushy, get nasty, and get disrepectful, some take it way to personally, and wrap themselves in self righteousness quickly,

key is to hold each other accountable, since moderation is no existent,

I remember a forum I was on when I first when online (late bloomer, no net until 2004) call fullauto.com, or something similar

good group of people that liked MG's, that in a year or so turned into a small group of A$$holes that ran a bunch off, and started posting porn every other post,,

I think that forum died off quickly afterwards,
