Turkey is the strongest military in the Middle East.- And they did that all by themselves. Turkey is just "not quite" as screwed up as the neighbors.

      You'd trust that SOB ?
Plus Turkey murdered British prisoners in WW1 simply
because they didn't want to feed them. A Regiment made up
      of Royal household volunteers.
British soldiers hated Turks ever since although the memory
probably faded with my service way back when.
However, I feel Turkey being Muslim should never have been
allowed to join Nato. (They're sure as hell muslim now anyway)

What's trust got to do with it?

After all, the Brits killed American POWs at Drake's Farm (1777) and in other instances, such as the Waxhaws Massacre in 1780..

Which has what to do with the price of rice in China? How Turkey got to be in NATO is a mystery. I guess they were the token outlanders. Right after WWII the region didn't seem so dangerous. But they seem to have that "kill everyone" attitude that is prevalent over there. It's the freakin mid-east. It's a desert, it sucks. You go to church five times a day, the only outlet you have is to kill someone, anyone. The Dutch don't do this. If we ever have to occupy the Netherlands, that would be great duty. If it ever gets to where there are only 100 Kurds left, well then lets try to preserve the species.

Nothing whatsoever -- which is my point.

Because they are heredity enemies of the Russians, of course!

The British and French were allies of the Turks during the Crimean war.

Trump admitted in 215 that his extensive financial dealings in Turkey (see Trump Towers Istanbul) could present a conflict of interest in dealing with Turkey. Turkey should have little problem with the genocide o the Kurds as it was well practiced with the genocide of the Armenians.

Well the good news is the remaining 1,000 US troops in the area will be safely evacuated if the Turkish troops push deep enough, and if that happens, there will be some strongly worded messages on Twitter. If not mistaken it was when we skulked out of Mogadishu that OBL got the idea that the US had no stomach for a fight. Here we weren't even fighting in Syria so much as just being there to prevent the wrong kind of fight from brewing up. Sickening and I'm not the only one saying it.

Erdogan is slowly sidling toward Russia.
I wouldn't trust that guy if he gave me his mother as a hostage.

When the foreign conglomerate took over our company they wanted to sell our military devices to Turkey. The old hands said; what! They'll just reverse engineer it, screw it up, and we'll get the blame.

Thank you Art and Togor.... keep at it.

And Art... I agree on Trump running on bringing the troops home , I've wanted them home for decades.

But we need to provide "a living" to stock holders of arms manufacturers who need a war so they can sit by the pool and sip a pina colada ...

I just got a warning from Jouster { Lyman } for insulting other members here on this forum with what I wrote above......

now that is very interesting .....

Invoking Goodwin's Law isn't necessarily moronic, but it certainly gets too much traction here on this forum.

Consider the other party is simply out of counter arguments and move on. I would think they in turn will get a shot across the bow in the name of equity...but that's probably considered socialist or something.

would you rather I change it from a warning to an infraction?

calling other members a moron is not in the rules, is it?
