We are getting a lot of 50.1/49.9 elections now, not going the GOP's way. If ever there was a time to deep dive into the returns to expose the fraud, such an election would be it. But time after time, that does not happen. The conspicuous exception was North Carolina where it was the GOP candidate who committed voter fraud.
And yeah, I want to know how many people are still voting who otherwise have caregivers supervising their lives.Comment

Google can help you find it. After 8 years of Scott Walker, registration is already pretty tight in Wisconsin. Walker lost by 30K votes and did not claim it was a rigged election. There is no WI voter fraud to speak of.
That said, your argument is deliberately oblivious to the motives or consequences. I believe voters should choose their politicians and judges, not the other way around. If you want to make that into an anti-GOP message, then feel free. But in so doing it only reinforces a broader point about the overall corruption of the Republican party.Comment

I have no argument, and am not deliberately doing anything,
I merely pointed out the wording, as in leave one place, vote in another,
you post a broken link, then tell us to google it, and to on and on about GOP issues,
I have clearly stated that fraud is fraud,
did you log in today thinking you were on the Democratic Underground instead of Jouster?Comment

A 65-year-old woman who was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's in 2012 and nowadays doesn’t know what year it is or who is currently president voted last week by absentee ballot.
This probably needs to get a look at some point, as baby boomers continue to pile on the years, if people are truly serious about voter roll integrity. Unclear which way this one breaks. Alzheimer's is a disease of the elderly primarily, and they tend to vote Republican. But if someone else is filling out the ballot, there is no way to know. But better to be safe than sorry, right?Comment

do I, or anyone else here with moderator status, need to confer with you when things are done?

you would think the person that has Power of Atty would be the only one, other than the patient that would be allowed, if then, to fill out the ballothttps://bangordailynews.com/2016/11/...daughter-says/

People not found competent still need to have decisions made on their behalf, and for that there is Power of Attorney. Is "who to vote for" one of them? It may well depend on the state, but it turns out this is an area of active discussion (but curiously one from which the proponents of mass voter roll purges for the sake of purity steer clear).

Re: Vern's Jerk remark. You asked me a question, to which I made an inquiry about moderator policy. Obviously you're not going to confer with me ever, but a question as to how policy is applied is legitimate and certainly in the spirit of these times (when law enforcement is being made to answer some perhaps long overdue questions about priorities).Comment
