It's a cop-out philosophy in the extreme because by definition Jesus inherits a mess when he gets here, instead of an imperfect world in which people are making some headway at solving the problems, instead of tearing each other's throats out. Togor all our involvement in the Middle East has done is get people killed and we have created problems to an area that already had its own problems before we got there post WW2. We aren't going to solve a thing or bring peace to the region. I stand by my statements. Bring our sons and daughters home and lets see what happens.

Except that the Persian Gulf is still a vital transit point for the world's oil supply, and if the Iranians close it there will be repercussions for the global economy that will be impossible for Trump to ignore.

In any case, letting ourselves off the hook for the consequences of our past interventions there with the declaration that it's Jesus's problem to solve when he gets here is certainly bad theology and probably bad geopolitics too.

Life sucks when you make bad situations worse.

The problem is: all that s**t is coming over here. Something Trump has tried to curb from day one.

If we have to fight them then better over there.

As I used to explain to my company when setting out ambushes, if you kill the son-of-a-bitch on Monday, he won't come around and screw with you on Tuesday.

So that's one vote for escalation.

Payback for the hostages. From Twitter:

Let this serve as a WARNING that if Iran strikes any Americans, or American assets, we have targeted 52 Iranian sites (representing the 52 American hostages taken by Iran many years ago), some at a very high level & important to Iran & the Iranian culture, and those targets, and Iran itself, WILL BE HIT VERY FAST AND VERY HARD

At least Trump is doing something.

If obama hadn't pulled the U.S. troops out of Iraq there wouldn't even be any Iranians there to be blowing up stuff that doesn't belong to them.

As far as the 52 hostages go, yeah that's a good number and a good lesson for Iran.

If you'll notice NK got real quiet the last couple of days.
