As I told them, if society won't abide by the rules how can society expect them to abide by the rules. Contempt of Congress can put anyone in the docket if it is their way. His point is that in pursuit of a subsidized productivity you're ignoring the negative impacts on rural life. Seems clear enough which is maybe why you're ignoring it?

Who should decide that? If the small farmer decides to sell out, would you stop him? Perhaps put him in jail?

Would you drive food prices higher and higher, for the benefit of a handful of farmers?

Let me point out that I AM a farmer.

I think it is a balance that will be achieved, maybe thru gov't subs,, or market forces, or whatever,


there are some corporate farms here in VA, (including Smithfield)
as well as a lot of small and medium, and in the past 10-15 yrs, niche farms,

my Mothers side of the family is farmers, or most of them are\were, or in the business somehow,
