If the 'traditional' next billet after being assigned to NSC would be one calling for promotion to O-6, command or staff position to a flag officer and Fat Ranger is in charge of the motor pool somewhere, his resume will not sparkle.Last edited by barretcreek; 02-09-2020, 01:07.Comment

Oh, that's true. And if Trump personally relieved him, then Trump would be the man to write the Relief Officer Evaluation. I wouldn't want to have THAT in my 201 file!!Comment

People do not get "fired" in the military. MacArthur's viability as a presidential candidate went down hill rapidly as word got around that he had been insubordinate, panicked, Ridgeway turned things around. People forget MacArthur was trying to command in Korea-from Tokyo.
Vindaman should worry that if LTC isn't his permanent rank...I hope he still has his major's oak leaves.Comment

Col. Vindaman stated at one point that he had listened in on a secret phone call that President Trump had made to the Ukrainian government. Isn't that a court martial offense to do something like that? I thought a crime like that would get you lots of prison time.Comment

Just a reminder for those who feel sorry for this man. He is a Lt Colonel at 20 years of service. He can and probably will retire and draw a check for around $4200 a month. Not bad for 20 years of work. I got severance pay when I got Riffed at 13 years. So I don't shed a tear for this man.To Error Is Human To Forgive Is Not SAC PolicyComment

He has another job waiting for him in his home country as well. Can you imagine how fancy a uniform he can design for himself...perhaps another Herman Goring stylist in the making.Just a reminder for those who feel sorry for this man.
