That $35M, compared to a $500B political slush fund, amounts to one penny out of a 100lb sack.

Both sides need to get the extraneous stuff out of the relief bill. I agree that a 500 billion dollar slush fund with little oversight and no prevention of stock buy backs and excessive senior compensation is unacceptable. By the way, how about funding for abstinence education as part of a Coronavirus relief bill?

I agree with you on this and I wish those who we elect would understand this. A bill to just cover those individuals not business. A separate bill to cover business, both large and small to then disagree over.

Not the time for "pork barrel" projects. Get the money to the people.

Unfortunately, "pork barrel" is the Democrats' middle name. If the money doesn't flow to Democrat causes, it doesn't flow.

By the way, aren't the Kennedys rich? Why don't they pony up money for the Kennedy Center?

                Helocopter money.
I guess I would be considered near poverty. If I was renting I'd be in trouble. But my house is paid for, all the cars and toys are paid for. I don't eat out. I don't really need another thousand dollars. $100 thousand I could use.
Since all the illegals are such and integral part of our system, do they get included? If not, better get the cutting torch out and install some(one way) doors in the fence. Probably not necessary. Hopefully this is a fast moving wildfire although follow up waves can be expected.

We wondered if the democrats could sink any lower. Well, now we know,
the answer is a resounding Yes.

Dad always said that being poor can be might inconvenient at times and "Hope for the best, prepare for the worst!" My parents came up thru the Depression and as a kid the stories scared me. Now I am starting to see the tip of this to come again. Not having the latest gadget never bothered my wife and I, our daughter always buys a new phone every Christmas with her 25% discount.

I go with a Trak phone from Wal Mart. I started getting messages that they were going to transition to a new system, and my old phone wouldn't work an more. I bought the cheapest phone I cold find and it has so many bells and whistles I can't use it. If someone asks me what the number is, I have to go down through four layers of options to find it.
