Teachers fear school closures will let students think for themselves ...

Satire; But; "Many a true word is spoken in jest"

U.S.—Teachers at government schools have raised their concerns that the recent closure of their institutions will have a damaging effect on students. In particular, the nation's educators are worried that the longer the schools are closed, the more likely it is that students will begin thinking for themselves, learn life skills away from the government school system, and realize how much more they learn at home.

    When does that start here?

I wouldn't say those alone account for all the confirmation bias, but they certainly contribute. The left have plenty to chew on as well.

No cable TV subscription, but the occasional glance at CNN.com, which is pretty much unwatchable at this point. That's the business model.

If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and looks like a duck then it must be a mouse---liberal interpenetration?

The working definition of Liberal at this point, around here at least, is someone who spits out the Trump Kool-aid.

A purely tribal definition for the word that sees politics and everything as two warring camps. There's no reason to it--either you're in our camp, subject to its regulations, or be silent. If you're not silent, then you must be in the other camp.

Some guys need to go back and read up. Group-think was anathema to Conservatism, except for the religious conservatives, which comes up a bit here but really isn't a big part of it.

Ironically, a lot of old guys are breathing easy as the economy takes a nose dive, because they're figuring that their government payments will keep on going. Retirement, disability, health care. All products of when the Liberals really were in charge in DC.

Interpenetration? Do you feel under attack?
