    Four simple questions ....

    Four simple questions

When President Bush mailed us all a $600 stimulus check to help what he described as a sound economy.... how many here objected ?.
Don't be afraid to not raise your hand... I spent my $600 without guilt.

Couple years later when he mailed us all another check for $250...did you object ?
I spent mine on hobby stuff .

When President Obama wanted to spend money on roads and bridges to stimulate the economy by putting construction workers back to work how many here thought it a bad idea and we couldn't afford it ?
    Hmmm, lots of ya .

Now .... how many of you are objecting to the latest stimulus which will effectively pay higher unemployment benefits than the lost job ?

Guess things be different now its an election year..... and thank God we don't have Socialists in power.

It gets better. After Congress passed FDR's "Big Bill", a lot of talented people from across the country, business leaders and young people, came to the administration to help implement the New Deal. And FDR himself put it, if one thing doesn't work, then try another, but try something.

This administration, in what was until recently was a big brag, has spent three years "dismantling the administrative state" through attrition and unfilled vacancies and willful neglect. And they're supposed to ably implement these stimulus packages? Well I guess there's Jared!

The same obvious point that overshadows everything.

Two faced? It all depends on who you are talking about. When checks were sent out by Bush, there were some who had no need of the money. The vast majority needed it and appreciated it. Checks are now being sent out by Trump. There are those who have no need of it. There are many who need it and will appreciate it. The projects referenced under the squatter were in some cases worthwhile. In some cases, the projects were simply nothing more than a waste of money. All in all, it was a wash. Sincerely. bruce.

Bruce why do you regularly call Obama "the squatter"? That seems to be a needlessly coarse reference to the previous President, one that completely undercuts any regard for you as a thinker of substance.

Calling him "Obama", his name, hardly constitutes an endorsement of his policies. Lots of guys here prove that on a daily basis. And "squatter" is an uncommon word, conjuring a specific image.

So what's the deal? Is there a simple explanation for this usage that is also befitting a man who claims to be a representative of God on earth?

no different than some folks calling Trump 'heel spur' etc etc,

and I agree, the President, whether you voted for him or not, should be called by his name or title, out of respect,

saying that as someone who is as guilty, since I know I have typed obummer a few times,

fact of the matter is, we were, or seemed to be doing well, until the Clintons,

then each election got more and more divisive, and more hate seemed to flow, till we are at were we are now,
and I will say it flows from both sides, but honestly, the left seems to be the one's that say 'hold my beer and watch this'

not sure there is a solution

No Ray, you completely misunderstand. Not talking about Trump at all. (For once!)

I'm asking Bruce, an ordained minister (i.e. representative of God), why he consistently refers to Obama as a squatter, a demeaning word which you would agree indicates that his animosity towards Obama is personal, not related to policy. I'm wondering how Bruce would explain that usage to his flock from the pulpit, and if he's willing to offer a bit of that explanation here. If it was a one-off reference I'd let it go, but I ask since it's a repeated use, and such a coarse sentiment seems in stark contrast to his day job, which in theory is to move people towards the Light of Christ.

                        So what's the deal, Bruce?

One thing I noted early on about Barry and that he disliked people in general, including his own family. Of course the other ASPD won't agree with this but I can only pronounce what I have observed over the 8 years. Having to use an alias is quite disconcerting to say the least....why? Leadership was not one of Barry's strength's as a President. Barry will join "Jimmy Who?" and other less notable malefactors of the White House in the Republic's history. From 1988 to 2016 America did not have many choices to pick from and apparently the best of the worst. Trump has many faults, that is apparent but lack of leadership is not one of them.

                            A couple of points:

                            1. Obama still on first wife, so....points for that.

                            2. Leadership style and ability are two different things. A guy can insist on being treated like the "big cheese" and be seen as a leader, but ultimately what matters to history is the quality of decisions coming out of headquarters, judged against circumstances, not how big a peacock sat in the head chair.
