Only the people in Need are doing the looting
An NBC producer filmed men pulling up luxury cars before they appeared to ransack stores in Manhattan during a fifth night of rioting after the killing of George Floyd.
Keith Feldman posted a video on Twitter of men getting out of expensive cars, one of which was claimed to be a $500,000 Rolls Royce.

I didn't see a Rolls Royce -- but I did see a fairly new Jeep and a large SUV. Couldn't get license numbers, though. You'd think a reporter would have zoomed in on the license plates, wouldn't you?

They are not looting the Goodwill or Salvation Army resale stores...only the hi end stuff, Apple Store, ATT, Macy's a d local hi end stores, then Target. What does looting have to do with protesting George Floyd's death. One man guarding his store with a gun, asked several "protesters" what was the name of the man that died and they didn't know. There is no "need" here, only mob mentality and greed.

The looters that stole the iPhones and iPads from the Apple stores went to a lot of trouble for nothing, plus they can be tracked. Once the Apple products are taken from the store's wifi connection they are useless.

But who's going to track them? And when they find the thieves, who's going to arrest and prosecute them?

Apple sent a message to all the devices that they were being tracked, so you might check with Apple. Who has been prosecuted so far?

Nobody has been prosecuted -- which is the gist of my question. The few that have been arrested have been released without bail.

I think Togor can comment on cellular telecommunications. They know where you are.

Vern you are being hard on these loveable protestors as they are just Christmas shopping that is all.

Certainly opportunitists, calculating that the police were preoccupied with the protests. Newark employed a different formula and it worked well.

It was written long ago, when real anarchists were a major concern, that everyone has a little bit of an anarchist in them. The idea that if they woke up one day and there was literally no law or law enforcement, that it would open up some possibilities heretofore undreamed of. And I think it would be wrong to assume that we can accurately predict ahead of time who would let themselves go and how.

I would imagine there will be warrants out on cell data. I also wonder if the expiration of the FISA law will be an issue. Probably not....

The high end looting appears to be targeted and organized. Its logical to think that organized crime is involved.
