no , remembering plenty where you whine about me posting about some BS you posted, and instead of admitting you are wrong, or moving on you continue to push buttons and claim straw man bs or that you are suddenly the victim,

thinking it would be very wise for you to take a few days off,

Well Ray, what am I wrong about on this topic? Always happy to listen. This thread makes some uncomfortable, unfortunately.

Side comment, we've had our differences about police. Perhaps it is worth explaining my mindset. My own job has changed enormously over the decades. If I was still trying to do it the way it was done in 1990, I would be out of a paycheck. So my point of view towards other jobs (like policing) naturally comes with a certain expectation that they too can adapt to changing circumstances, and I don't have a lot of patience for foot-dragging when changes are needed. I'm not anti-police, because we need them for the heavy stuff. If they're gone, all hell will quickly break loose. But if they're overdoing it in some cases, they lose credibility, and that's a problem too.

Anyhoo, it bothers me a great deal when someone murders cops out of the blue, and I don't care about any political message that goes with it. Attacking police like that is an attack on our civilization itself, and only bad can come from that in my opinion. Hence this thread.

As for thread lifetimes....if someone moves on too early, they're criticized for bailing out, and if they move on too late, they're criticized for beating the horse to death. Pick a poison and drink it, right?

Togor I am not opposed to any positive laws or regulations that would make/or enhance policing safer for both officers as well as civilians..
