Ah! You've seen the latest Trump campaign add on your facebook feed that uses doctored images to show Biden "alone hiding in his basement".

Hopefully link works for you, showing how they tweaked the photos.

Don't believe everything you see in a Trump campaign ad, Ray. Or maybe....anything you see?

Meanwhile have you seen the Trump "Thighland" clip? Sixth grade reading level. First the Yo-semites, now the Thighs.

Trump HIMSELF proposed a quarantine, so why would he NOT have cooperated--enthusiastically? Hasn't he sent feds to control rioting in Portland? YOU are the one needing the map! NYC would have been almost the easiest major city in the world to quarantine, because only a relative handful of cops could have controlled every point of departure--bridges, tunnels, ferries--without stepping outside the city limits. Anybody fanatically determined to leave could have found a way, but the exodus would have been a trickle, not a flood. What kind of an idiot would deny these geographical facts?

And in fact to enforce his reverse quarantine, Squaw Man is doing just what I proposed--having NYPD guard bridges, tunnels, ferries to check for out of state plates. And doing it without federal assistance!

Let me point out that NYC was on lockdown immediately following 9/11. My youngest daughter worked in Manhattan and lived in New Jersey -- she had to walk down to the ferry boat dock and hitch a ride with the ambulances that were taking injured people to New Jersey.

Yeah, it's easy to lock down New York City.

            No it doesn't

CH pinpoint the day for me when the lockdown should have happened. You have the benefit of history, so this should be easy. Then go back and correlate that date to what Trump was saying about Covid-19 at that time. Remember that he's not shy about telling state and local leaders what to do. So if you can make a serious case that there was a moment when the gun was cocked, if only someone pulled the trigger, then okay I'll listen. Otherwise this just looks/sounds like you're engaging in your usual hobby of bashing politicians you don't like, with whatever is convenient.

I don't think a person with Alzheimer's can be accused of cowardice -- they're not in control of their emotions.

Even to bring Tump into the question demonstrates your denial of the facts of the case. What Trump said is totally irrelevant because the Dem power structure in NYS was in a position of TOTAL CONTROL over traffic in or out of the city! No federal action of any kind was necessary; did Squaw Man obtain federal approval for his reverse quarantine? If Trump had forbidden a quarantine, rather than advocating one, he would have been fought tooth & nail by the Dems, as NYS has fought every one of his executive orders in court. Name ONE instance in which a Trump proposal was followed or approved by the NY state dictator or any branch of NY state gov't.

I guess this IS a failure of leadership on Trump's part -- he should have ordered Cuomo and De Blasio to do the WRONG thing, and they would -- by reflex -- have done the opposite.
