        A point that is worth mentioning: Republicans don't compete in elections to run cities. Urban policy is not a thing for them. And they think of these regions as autonomous city states out of the 1500s, which is not how it is. Mayors have limited powers, can be overruled by state and federal law. To Republicans, if a problem exists in rural or maybe suburban regions, it's a national problem. If it's in cities, it's a Democratic problem. 100% true and you see it in how people post here.
