Bolton said he personally didn't hear it. He can't say it wasn't said, just that he wasn't one of Goldberg's 4 sources. As Goldberg said on the radio today, Bolton's claims about the weather being bad that day are true, but Goldberg also talks to people in the Pentagon who chafe at the suggestion that US Marines cannot fly a military helicopter in the rain.
We know Trump bailed on the ceremony. Something kept him from getting there. Could be bad weather, a weak bladder (90-120 minute motorcade), fear of bad hair, something else. But whatever it was, it was clearly stronger than any desire to honor those war dead, because he blew it off. Try though you might, you cannot deny that simple fact.
And simply put, the story rings true. That's why the reaction out of the White House is so heated.Comment

Trump has never called Purple Heart recipients “losers,”.

If someone came up with a totally effective cure for COVID-19, and the haters had a chance to burn it up rather than save a million because that would hurt Trump, they would do just that.
