When you say "you're missing the point", which you say a lot, you're asserting there's a disconnect somewhere in the back-and-forth flow of ideas that is the conversation.
How to remedy that? With a good explanation of what the point is, and how it is missed.
Not everything needs to be explained, but saying someone misses the point without explaining how, is indistinguishable from a dodge.
This may surprise you but I don't think in terms of who is smarter than who around here. Although outright stupidity is tough to bear anywhere in life. This is a written word forum, for exchanging ideas, beliefs, experiences, etc. Respect goes to those who use the language with skill and courage.
