    Yes. But the point is, I scraped and saved and denied myself things that many other people had in order to build up those investments. And I PAID for Social Security -- they FORCED me to pay. And now they only give me a fraction of what I paid for.

    How would anyone here feel if you house burned, and the insurance company gave you only a fraction of what the policy called for "because you make too much money?"

      house insurance does not work that way, they will pay out what is covered, but if you don't have coverage on a pile of collectables, then you would get screwed,


      fact is the system worked the way it was designed to,

        That's kind of like telling a victim of a crime that's how it was designed to work.

        It was designed (modified, actually) to penalize people who work hard and who scrimp and save.
