Have no use for the woman. In this case, she did what was best ... act to establish confidence in the vaccine. No different than when Elvis got the polio vaccine. For the record, when the vaccine is available to persons in my risk category, I will take the vaccine. It is not so much b/c I think myself at great risk. It is b/c of the role I play as a pastor modeling responsible leadership to the people in my church family and my local community. JMHO. Sincerely. bruce.

Like I said, she is not remotely someone who I consider admirable, etc. But, whether qualified or not, when one is in a position of leadership it is necessary to lead regardless of whether or not the decision one makes satisfies everyone. Time will tell if her decision is or is not wise. But given that she is the representative elected by her district and given that a lot of the members of her district are at risk, she has acted to encourage confidence in the vaccine so that vulnerable people will go ahead and get vaccinated. Come on..because of her position she used it to jump ahead of those who should have receiver the vaccine before her..

Has any member of congress died of Covid? I haven't heard of any and very few getting sick from it. The media only reports on a few republicans that have caught it.

There are two problems here:

If it were important for members of Congress to take the vaccine first, why wasn't that part of the priorities list?

And a leader is supposed to share the risks and hardships of others, not push to the head of the line.
