    Falling Dominos

The Capitol Police Chief has been fired (ordered to resign,) the Sergeant at Arms of the House of Representatives has been fired and the Sergeant at arms of the Senate has been told by Chuckie Schumer that if he does not resign by the time he takes over as Senate Majority Leader he'll be fired too. Several White House staffers have resigned including Elaine Chow, a Cabinet Officer, who I'm sure was strongly advised by her husband to do so.

I figure this is just the beginning. More to come.

To the Dems it's never been enough that Donald Trump leave office, they are determined that he leave office in disgrace. They're talking about invoking the 25th Amendment again and Nancy Pelosi has used the "I" word though I don't see how you can impeach a president when he's out of office....but what do I know. I do believe they'll try to prosecute him criminally for something after he leaves office. None of those options will do anything to tamp down the fire.

I don't believe we are on the verge of civil war but I do believe, as I've said before, that we're in the worst crisis since the 1850s. The country is divided into two large camps who at the least actively and intensely dislike each other.

                  Update. Press release.

At approximately 9:30 p.m. this evening (January 7, 2021), United States Capitol Police Officer Brian D. Sicknick passed away due to injuries sustained while on-duty.

Officer Sicknick was responding to the riots on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at the U.S. Capitol and was injured while physically engaging with protesters. He returned to his division office and collapsed. He was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The death of one or many just seem to embolden the SD in their continuing hatred of anything "Trump" it seems. One wonders if this hatred will continue with the downward spiral under the Harris regime?

Strange how the democrats are blaming Trump for that riot when in fact they organized and paid for riots across the nation that destroyed property and people died. Democrats are feeling very smug now, so they will do anything.
BTW: "president elect Harris" (a quote from Biden) has a bill ready for Congress to make Washington DC and Puerto Rico States. I guess that's not packing Congress?

Not strange at all! They control the media, and we played right into their hands.

Yes, I'd like to see the autopsy report, I suspect that cop-like a lot of Covid-19 deaths-had pre-existing conditions.
Saw no evidence of fires, massive vandalism, vehicles being torched.
Since the Senate is split 50-50 how can Schumer be "Majority" Leader ?

In case of ties, the Vice President -- Kamela Harris -- votes.

When he was elected VP, LBJ wanted to remain a part of the Democratic Caucus, he was told "This caucus is not open to former senators!" That drew from him a rude response. If Harris remains a sub rosa member of that caucus it raises some serious questions about separation of powers.
