Navy commander 'helped steal two 13-ton bronze propellers from his ship

A Russian navy commander 'helped steal two 13-ton bronze propellers from his own ship, Wonder what propelled him to do it. Lol

The destroyer has been decommissioned and turned into a floating museum and he probably figured it didn't need good ones anyway..

The commander 'helped steal the two 13-ton bronze propellers from his own destroyer which had been decommissioned and while it was in dry dock - and conspired with others to replace them with cheaper, lighter versions

The Russian navy have not revealed how he pulled off the daring heist

Yup. My father-in-law died in '70 and was buried in a cemetery that required all graves and markers to be flush with the ground (to make cutting the grass easy.) Each grave had a bronze plaque and a bronze vase that normally fit into a receptacle. One morning every speck of bronze was gone in the whole cemetary.
