    I didn't predict a winner.

What conclusion to the conversation do you want?

No insults have been shared, just bantering. Until next time I guess...

The Senate is indeed full of posturers, and mostly has been for as long as I've been alive.

I hate to repeat myself because I've posted this stuff before. :

Ivanka Trump is the person mostly responsible for the first real criminal justice reform law in many, many years - "The First Step Act."

For a generation black folks have been discriminated against in sentencing in the Federal System because of the Crime Control Act of 1993 (one of Joe Biden's handful of actual legislative accomplishments.) Books have been written on the inequalities of the law. The best known is "The New Jim Crow" by Alexander. I actually did read the book and while some of the facts are manipulated the basic premise of the work is accurate. As a result of the "First Step Act" thousands of people, mostly black, serving ridiculously long sentences for minor, sometimes very minor drug offenses are free today. It's a lot of the reason that Trump got 13% of the black vote this time and Ivanka Trump gets the lion's share of the credit.

A follow up bill was planned if Trump had been re elected and it will be interesting to see what Biden does with it.

While we're on the Kushners, Jared Kushner was the moving force behind "The Abraham Accords" which is the biggest step forward since the "Camp David Agreement" over a generation ago and got Donald Trump a Nobel Peace Prize nomination.
