different problems in Cali, the State says you cannot clean up debris etc etc on power lines, (basically adding kindling under a potential match) among other problems,

Tex has a different system of distro, etc,

not even close to a fair comparison, but the media will do whatever they can to destroy a potential candidate in 2024

and AOC was supposedly spreading the cash amongst several shelters and food banks, in a favorite D district (partisan donations,, dontchaknow)

Cruz was man enough to admit that what he did wasn't right, but Cuomo is still denying he did anything wrong as well as blaming someone else. Cuomo uses the socialist democrat "deny and lie" as his defense.

I don't know what the ages of his daughters are, but doesn't an adult need to cross the border for international travel???

Remember the "national socialist" need to draw the attention AWAY from the thief of the election.

Well Cruz did kinda own his prior cheap shots at Cali grid problems, in light of the misadventures in Texas. One can say it's totally different situation, if one wants to be political about it, but in reality it's not--there are all manner of contingencies out there for grid operators to deal with, and either they keep the lights on or they do not keep the lights on.

Too bad Ted was born in Kenya, otherwise he could run for President.

            no politics involved,

Cali wildfire issues (as you mentioned) are partially due to Cali rules and regs on what the Power Co's can do to maintain transmission lines and right of ways, as well as regs on fire blocks/lanes etc etc,

the 3 legged spotted toad mussel or such may be disturbed,, and all that

And the Texas issues are made worse by market structure and reliability requirements, or lack thereof.

Even worse, Texas regulations allow for retail electric rates to skyrocket. So people whose lights stayed on in Texas....keep an eye on your electric bills!!

The problem with Texas is that it was decided that deregulation of the consumer power industry would make for better competition and lower prices for consumers. As with most decisions intended to help the consumer it just never works out as planned. Your power costs could be negotiated and you could go with the provider you thought was best for you, but the energy sellers set their own regulations, and the five figure utility bills during the last catastrophe was the result.

Texas designed the market equivalent of a race car with no brakes.

Ted needs to step up and do something weird himself with Gorilla Glue, to make the internet whole.

Any of our Texas members expecting a bigger electricity bill?
