so, the correct response is why did that person do what they did, and what can we do to prevent it in the future, , (better mental health, more cohesive family structures, etc maybe)
so, since Mass Shootings have been a thing since damn near forever, and there have already been attempts to ban and regulate,, that have not worked,

    also, use the litmus test,

if I ban/regulate this,, would it have stopped what happened?

name one proposed rule or regulation proposed that would have prevented any past crime,

hint,, there were AR pistols long before braces,,
Prevention of homicide is not the aim of "gun control." If it were, the advocates of "gun control" would be screaming for the impeachment of all the Democrat mayors and governors in cities and states that have seen such an explosion of violence.

      Something here triggered....

Biden said several times that these are things he can address through executive order. The remainder (yet to be declared) is currently being drafted and gaining support on the Hill. Not a single bill, but a carefully orchestrated wave coming in phases.

Beware that they do end the filibuster for the Senate. If they do end it then look out as they will come full bore for firearms and for the Supreme court adding as many new judges as need to override all the conservative's on the court. They then can control all of the government for what ever they want.

Lyman I was quoting the two tenets heard most often in 2A forums:

          1. Blame the person, not the gun.

          2. Laws only affect the law-abiding, criminals are unimpeded by them.

Do you disagree with either? I doubt it. But taken together they're a dead end. No discussion is possible going forward.
