Executives forced to unlearn their male privilege

Three days of destroying free thinking!

Lockheed Martin, the nation's top defense contractor, forced 13 executives including a three-star general to complete a three-day Zoom course so they would 'unlearn their male privilege'.

The execs took part in the 16-hour training via Zoom last June run by White Men As Full Diversity Partners

The firm says it has been 'teaching' since 1996 - it has likely boomed in the last year - and is run by two white men

The Lockheed participants included retired Air Force lieutenant colonel David Starr and retired Air Force lieutenant general Bruce Litchfield - a three star general

They had to start with a 'free association' exercise listing the connotations of 'white privilege'

Then they had to recite 'statements of white, male and heterosexual privilege'

Participants were also asked to focus on 'white male culture' traits including 'a can-do attitude' and 'hard work'

They then had to recite statements like 'I'm tired of being black', from the perspective of minorities

They also had to watch videos by beauty brands Dove and Pantene about inclusivity and body positivity

It's unclear how much Lockheed paid for the training or whose idea it was
Lockheed Martin takes in $6billion a year and 70% of that comes from government contracts

Sounds like a lot is lifted from context by the DM copy writer to trigger some readers.

Corporate training sessions, and I've had my share, cover all kinds of subjects, and hypothetical exercises would be common.

Big picture--is Lockheed Martin going to retrain their executives in such a way as to make them hurt shareholder value? I'll guess "no".

I have an 'ex aunt by marriage' (Uncle's 2nd or 3rd ex wife) that now works for some contractor in the SW (cannot remember who, and it's in AZ I think)

last time she was in town, (my mother and her are close) she told me that a lot of the men in the company were concerned about who was in their offices,

she said she walked into one of her coworkers office to go over some stuff, a guy she has worked with for years, and he asked her to leave and meet in a public area of the office, or wait until others showed,

he would not be alone in the office with her,
and told me it was that way with all of them, not just her, but any female,

she is also worried that if they found out her age (she looks younger than she is, and she is well over retirement age) they will force her to retire

It's DM hearsay spun to trigger folks and keep them clicking to generate ad revenue. They literally don't care otherwise what's in their copy.

So more pretend. Pretend your not smart. Pretend that you didn't do good in school and actually went to college and completed a degree in business. You got married and had children that you took good care of and they went on to go to college and, well...

So you are insinuating that this class situation may not be real? And have to take a class to find out if it is? Lol

my Brother from another Mother is in the Reserves, and works for the Reserves running an AMSA unit,

he had to do all the Diversity/Inclusion/koombaya stuff recently,

he is a relatively stable person, easy going, doesn't care if you are gay or straight, or what shade of brown you may be,, and he said it was the biggest load of HorsePoo he had ever been thru,
