The 95 pounds (up to 120 for the Marines) is a problem. It's causing a lot of orthopedic problems in addition to drastically reducing the soldier's mobility. A lot of the weight is armor and batteries. A soldier carries a lot of battery operated gear, in fact the average soldier has several dozen AA batteries at any time. There are attempts in the works to lighten up the armor, and to find a way to replace the batteries, but more needs to be done.

I remember a discussion I had with an Army doctor, "You don't know the number of men I've autopsied who weren't wearing flack vests."

And I said, "How men did you autopsy who were killed on a Tuesday by a man they should have caught and killed on Monday?"

God created male and female. Look inside your underwear to see which you are. Liberal progressive democrats created all the rest. Everyone has either two X chromosomes or an X and Y chromosome. There is no LGBTQ chromosome attached. Because we live in a fallen world, there are, for want of a better term, "accidents of nature", but they are statistically few and far between, nowhere near the numbers seen in protests.

Do a DNA test on a self described LGBTQ and you will find either two X or an X and Y chromosome. It's simple; "follow the science".

At least I'm on the OP's topic "How long is this gender nonsense going to last ? ..."

Seahorse? Or is that some other esoteric reference than to the fact that after the MALE fetilizes the FEMALE'S eggs, he carries them until they hatch?

Yes, but you got the joke. There just happens to be human seahorses.

The gender nonsense isn't nonsense if it's how this whole thing called life works.

                  "Human seahorses..." explain that.

The gender nonsense is just that. It is a corruption of what life is supposed to be.

Ask someone that is transgender, my perspective isn't much different than yours.

I don't understand it, but clearly it's part of natural science in some way. I don't practice celestial mechanics, but I know enough to accept it's part of life.

Isn't living pretty easy when you're born with societal and biological alignment? Consider for a moment if you werent.

You're suggesting people to put themselves for a moment in someone else's shoes. But doing that, for some, defeats the whole point of being right in the first place. So they'll never do it, not in a million years.

                        including you,,,,

                        had a customer\acquaintance back in the 80's
he hung out and shot with some of the folks I knew at the rifle club I later joined,

the guys would drive down to the shop, and make a day of it,

then one day, one decided to change his name and start wearing dresses,

this was in the mid to late 80's , not sure if they had the nip and tuck then, or if he had it done,

a few years later he won, as an outward appearing female, some contest, had the pic on the wall for a long time of him\her,,

been so long I don't remember his first name, but do remember what the female name he picked is,, (no, not loretta,, but Amy Winehouse sang that name as a song title years later)

anyhoo,, he\she IIRC, was working at UVA, and later moved out of state,

some of the group kept up, but most of that group are either passed on, or mostly moved on,

reminds me, the match director for the service rifle program was in that group of guys, I'll ask him and another friend if they have heard from him\her,

You can put a different grill on a VW but you still have a VW. You can put lipstick on a pig but you still have a pig. Some people apparently don't know how to use the tools they were born with. Removing them or replacing them with something else doesn't change what they are.
