Many years ago when I worked masonry construction in the North east we knew that a recession was coming because bricklayers from Texas started to appear in seek of work . That meant it was dying elsewhere
We had three show up on our building site within a two week period and all from the same town in Texas . We branded them with their new names ....
Tex , Kotex , .... and Mex
P.S. they didn't seem offendedLast edited by Sandpebble; 09-16-2021, 04:58.Comment

thanks for the passive aggressive BS post,
typical from you, and most 12 yr olds,,,
go read Pat's rules for the forum,
then go read all your crying and whining about the 3 Stoogez,,
then read your ridiculous posts on the Texas Taliban,, (at least one member is offended,, ,by the name, )
you would think you would get it and move on, or at least stop crying about it ,
we all know you won't apologize for it,Comment

Okay so,
Lyman we're just gonna have to agree to disagree on the value of straight answers to straight questions. I put value to them. Clearly, you think they set you back.
togor's mod policy:
1. Whatever SysAd decides in the end goes.
2. No racist stuff. Don't even try to sneak up to the line.
3. Keep it civil when addressing other forum members. Going after someone personally is off limits.
4. It's politics. People need to have a thick skin. If someone blows up your argument, your favorite ox gets gored, don't take it personally.
5. This forum could disappear at any time. Enjoy it while it's here, and don't take anything negative personally. Nothing said here can do you physical harm.
6. No annoying mod lectures if action is necessary. Everyone here has one dad, they don't need another.
Questions/comments welcomed.Comment

now you set the rules and complain of being lectured ?
you ask for straight answers,, yet you have never given one,, and can't comprehend when someone does,,,,
clearly you did not read anyone's posts, not even your own,
so, just another day of proving togor can't abide by his own rules, or the forum rules , and gets heartburn when that is pointed out to him,
your attempts to save face here just dig your holes deeper,
roadking gave you a hint,, shame your arrogance would not let you take itComment

Thanks for the feedback.
I'm telling you how I will go about my business, so there's no misunderstanding.
I see no point in trying to moderating people, trying to get in their heads, calling them arrogant, etc. Probably raising 3 kids through their teenage years has something to do with that.
People are who they are. Let them be. If their forum content crosses the line, clean it up. That's the job as I see it. Trying to "improve" people's online performance through sermons is a complete waste of time. Nobody, and I mean nobody, at this stage in their life, wants or needs that.Comment

I appreciate the fact that Vern took time to read that post. We're all human, make mistakes, but I think those rules are durable and in line with what SysAd had in mind when asking us to put the gloves back on.
Pity we cannot meet and argue in person with a favorite refreshment in hand. Some people might surprise us IRL. There are more than a few guys here with whom I'd gladly enjoy a cold beer. Or even a warm beer, the way the English serve it.Comment
