Maybe so but they have the most incentive and the biggest hammer.

The January 6 idiots are too stupid to realize there's no winning that way, for anyone. We all lose. So being so civic minded, let them plead guilty and pay their fines and save the Feds the trouble. They care so much about the country, then do the right thing instead of hiding.

There is no official FBI response to Jan 6th. The headline mentioned is from August, and is tantamount to a sidebar conversation at the lunch counter.

Lyman is making the argument that you can't trust the federal government, history has shown this to be true on a few occasions. Red is saying we should, because it confirms what he feels about Jan 6th (my presumption). Ya'll work it out.
