Those earlier vaccines Red mentions were developed and thoroughly tested over a long period.
These Covid vaccines were available within six months with virtually no testing.
It was basicly a race among research labs to see who could get there first and win the Big Bucks.
To hell with testing weith big money on the finishing line.

I've been taking Vitamin C for about 25 years, don't even get the sniffles. I am 72. In nearby Princeton, NJ the Covid hot spot is-the nursing home. TheUSS Milwaukee-crew 100% vaccinated-held in port due to an outbreak. In my circles-and I move around quite a bit-don't know anyone who has had it. And I note the vaccine "passport"-what happened to the old idea that medical records were private ?-is quickly becoming the internal passport.
