listen); French for "blow of state"), often shortened to coup in English, (also known as an overthrow) is a seizure and removal of a government and its powers.
    Did you read my post?

    Please read this time okay?

The coup was a multi-part operation. Preparation was the Big Lie (stolen election) which was already being pushed in Summer 2020.

The purpose of the January 6 operation was to try to derail Congress from certifying the election results from the states. All states had all of their paperwork in order, per the law.

The idea was to stall Congress, to create chaos, in the hopes then that some GOP natural advantage in House delegations or state legislatures, could become decisive.

What made it a coup attempt is that it was based on the Big Lie.

The capitol riot is the most visible aspect of the whole operation, so in the popular mind it is sometimes argued whether it by itself was/was-not a coup attempt. It was PART of the operation to try to stay in power past 20-January in contradiction to the laws of the country and will of the voters. Trump's call on January 6 was actually pretty specific: go to the capitol, fight like hell to keep Congress from certifying the results.

    It's really very simple.

he is a true believer ray,,

no word on how many antifa were there
no word on why this was soo bad,, but the Kavanaugh hearings folks that stormed DC were ok

no word on how many reporters were arrested for being there,
no word on why the guards were letting folks in,

no word on the failures of the system where folks are still being held,
no word on how various Gov't organizations knew or heard something, but it was not pushed up the chain

a glorious day to be a democrat, they will ring this bell till the cows come home

Agreed! and as there was no "actual" "organized" physical attempt by any political party, group, or entity to physically take over the country at the White House then, it would not be classified as a coup or even an attempted coup. There has to be some meat/reason for a coup..

              Sure.

But there was a purpose to that chaos, and for 2 hours, the instigator let it play--a fact that has caught the eye of at least one federal judge.

Oh my God...Trump again! You need to move on as I said before many times before to you, you are obsessed with Trump. I bet you have mentioned his name a hundred times in your posts. Not healthy when one, and especially someone you don't personally know lives in your mind like that. And especially no politician is worth that!

We're talking about Trump because the subject is January 6. Basically every time he comes up, and looks bad, which is often, you complain.

                  Here's what you should do:

Sit down, look at the worst stuff he has said and done until you can't take it anymore, and then promise yourself you'll never support him again. Once you get there, references to him won't bother you.

In other words the problem is yours, not anyone else's, if discussions of Trump's bad sh*t bother you. It's because part of you knows he's terrible. Let that part win and you'll have no more issues.

And as far as a qualified president goes, in my opinion Biden is by far the worst ever in my life time how ever I feel sorry for him because he is being used!

You can't judge a president until they are out of office , we never know all that can be accomplished until it's over .

Since many dead presidents get coins minted after them just think one day we may see coins with "taliban joe poopie pants" stamped on them. If not here perhaps in Afghanistan.

Well in my mumble opinion, I believe they are judged by what they have accomplished while in office as it's recorded history...i

If the Taliban don't issue a coin with his image, they're a bunch of ungrateful goat lovers.
