Ray the Canadian tar petroleum extraction is about as carbon intensive a process as there is. To do anything with it you have to heat it like crazy. Can you understand why that is bad for the planet? Or are you just locked into a set of talking points?

See the levels for yourself. During the entire Trump administration, except for a few months in early 2020 when the industry was begging to find storage, they have been steadily drawing down the inventory.

At least Biden knows to buy low and sell high, and he's selling now to backfill demand in an industry that would rather have high prices/profits than drill.

Yes it's true than Trump's interior department wanted to open up the few remaining pristine areas to drilling, but that's just a city boy (Trump) placing no value on wilderness. If he can't golf there, put a hotel there, get there by jet, then it's a complete f*cking waste.

Trump is hands down the most anti-environmental President we've seen to date. He hates any regulations that protect air, groundwater, wildlife, you name it.

And how much air pollution would all those numerous trucks or even a train to transport the oil all the way down to drop it off to where the refinery is located in the US, in what ever state it may be located in? It was a political deal pure and simple!
I believe it was said that the owner of the trucking line or investor was a big campaign money giver to the Biden campaign!

I did not have to go to the movie. I went to the real thing. A 50th reunion of the US Navy FITRON 31 in Washington DC. I had dinner with a retired Admiral and his wife. There were 44 fighter pilots there that flew thousands of combat sorties. I reconnected with many pilots that I flew with and are still friends after 50 years.

BTW, the retired Admiral, Jim Flatley, commented that the DC reunion had never been topped with exception of perhaps the Yorktown reunion a few years ago. Look him up. He landed and took off the carrier Forrestal, 29 times in a C -130.

Another pilot friend, Al Cisneros, flew combat with my squadron, then 3 tours with the Blue Angels, call sign Taco.

Wow, that would be almost like the Doolitle raid except a C-130 is even larger than those B-25's. Were jato bottles used for take-off?

I see no mention of the bottles and the plane was able to land with no hook. The wingspan is nearly double that of those B-25's and the deck had to be cleared for take-off/landing. Says a lot about the plane and pilot.
