Biden is headed to Europe next week to continue to keep the West rallied to the goal.

Somebody here likes to badmouth people by calling them narcissists (not sure he even knows what the word means anymore), but even that person would probably admit to himself (privately) that Biden is keeping his eye on the ball.

And maybe that person even remembers from personal experience that war is messy, that even the best plans go south, and that perseverance is among the most necessary of qualities when in a war.

If Biden wants to "rally others to the cause" he could start by authorizing more U.S. multiple rocket launching systems in real quantity, by sending real long range field guns and counterbattery fire radar systems. As long as the Russian big guns and rocket systems (mostly) outrange the Ukrainian ones....well the problem is obvious. When he does that he can lean on the Euros who with some notable exceptions have been "all blow and no show" at least when it comes to equipment.

So, do you want to win, or after expending a lot of money and equipment wash your hands of it and say "well we tried."

Up until now Biden has looked like he doesn't want to tweak Putin's nose too much. I understand that but you're in it to win it or you're not. You can be Charlie Wilson and Ronald Reagan in Afghanistan or Lyndon Johnson and Bob McNamara in Vietnam.

One other thing, The Ukraine is one of the most corrupt countries in the world. Giving them money is a really bad idea. All aid should be "in kind."
