I have in the past and suffered for doing so.

I will never dial 911 again no matter what.

At least where I live you have to call 911 if you need an ambulance which I've done once when my wife passed out. I also called 911 to report a wreck with injuries and fatalities on my way home from work early one morning. In this case the emergency office contacted the state trooper office and the ambulance.

I suppose you have to call 911 to report a fire as well.

I've never called the police for help.

That is the problem. Here, you can not have a ambulance or EMT come to your wreck or your home until the cops clear the area of weapons or explosives. That may take anywhere from 30 minutes to 12 hours.

I recently had a fall in my house that caused arterial bleeding. I called 911 and asked for EMTS or an ambulance. Instead they sent 4 cops to remove weapons and explosives to ensure the safety of the medics.

They found a 100 year old, 12 gauge, break open single shot gun and confiscated it (never to be seen again).

I didn't have THAT problem but when I called 911 for an ambulance for my wife the drivers were at the local fire station shooting the chit so everybody came to see what was going on for their own personal entertainment.

I had 11 people in my living room that night. 2 ambulance drivers, maybe a cop or two (don't remember now) and the rest were firemen, some of which may have had EMT training. Some were very young so maybe not. If they were EMT trained they didn't do anything.

On a different case my wife passed out at her OB-GYN PC office. This is not what these doctors treat or get concerned over so he called the ambulance co. I suppose being a doctor (of such) and a business the cops did not come, just 2 ambulance drivers. They tried to check my wife's blood pressure and whatever else. We were only 2 blocks from the hospital but it took them nearly an hour to get there and then at the emergency entrance they still continued to check my wife instead of taking her into the hospital. This was all to rack up a bill which they did. A week later we received a bill for their services $750.

I think our ins paid half that and they were satisfied with it.

My wife has passed out a couple of times since but I didn't call the ambulance needless to say.

Would I? Yes. Have I? Yes. Have called for ambulance when needed for family members, church members, etc. When there is a problem, want professionals on the scene. Exact same with the police. When there is a problem, you call them first thing. Sincerely. bruce.

I've had to call 911 a few times for my wife and also she called for me. They arrived fast and stabilized me/her quickly, then to hospital. Ambulance calls here run $600. You can call 911 and request a 'pick up' for a person who has fallen and cannot get up. That will cost $150.

You on a "bad" list or something? Because if that happened every time there was a PNB call, it would be all over the news.

So it is OK for a moderator to call me a liar?

No it is not a lie. It happened. And I could go on for hours telling truthful stories about local cops that have bullied me and cost me thousands of dollars in bogus tickets and fines. The latest one was a ticket for an expired plate issued by a CITY cop. I had received no notice and the License Bureau was closed by the COVID. The State waived late fees and the renewal was $3.xx. I went to court and my fine was $248.

And I do not lie about this crap. I do not have to.

Agree. There would have to be a precedent for an ERPO. Seizure of firearms would not happen in a vacuum.

Ray or Art could comment, as former LEO'S.

There you go again making stuff up. It was not a seizure, it was a out and out theft. There was no mention of anything to do with a gun or any other weapon in the police report, but it is gone.

                            so,

who called who a liar? need clarification on that (not seeing it myself)

cops show up and go thru the house before the EMT's get there? not had much experience in that area but that seems very odd

Musket missing off the wall, sounds like outright theft,

kicker is how to prove it, unless you have a recent dated picture of it in the house, it will be hard to prove who, if anyone, took it,
