however if you click new posts as an example, you should not get anything from the political section unless you have the password,

Small thing, but if the time stamps were in the military time clock it would be easier to discern what time of the day someone has posted.

UTC or EST...or any other time zone....

For what it's worth, a "like" button (or thumbs up, thumbs down) for each post would be a nice addition. I don't have much to say here, but at times would like to be able to acknowledge a post without posting...
