The problem with mail in ballots is the only thing that has your ID (real or not real) is the envelope. The ballot itself is just a plain ballot like you would get when voting in person. When opened the two are separated. People can request multiple ballots per household. No one checks, I've heard.

There may be limits but I've heard of people stuffing the envelopes with many ballots. Drop off boxes are the biggest issue. Like the mail-ins, this is where many of the dead and made up names vote----many times.

Years ago I signed my Son's absentee ballot because he'd broken his arm.
      They wouldn't accept it.
This was way back when California was Red.
I'd probably get away with it now that we're Blue.

Well its the process of getting the ballot... it (fraud) can happen no matter what you do but here you have to submit the number of one of these with your application for a ballot - Drivers license #, Tx issued ID #, Voter ID card #, or last four digets of SSN. The state has all of that on file. Those have to match up with the address on the voter registration information of the person that the mail in ballot is going to. Its hard to get multiple ballots that way though I will admit it is possible to get a ballot for your senile grandmother. I don't think that's going to amount to massive fraud, and ballot harvesting is still a crime in this state....unlike some others. They prosecute for it too. Just this year a woman was convicted of 26 felony counts of voter fraud in a ballot harvesting scheme.

As Dogtag said they've also got your signature on file.

There is no doubt about dems using fraud in this 'election'! Many of the elite democrats have stated they will do anything and all things necessary to keep republicans from winning! My deceased dog got a mail in ballot in the 2020 'election'.
