going to get even worse when Russia launches it's
new offensive. And all the while we keep feeding it
instead of trying to stop it. A peace deal needs to
be brokered by somebody as it's getting harder to
keep up with Zelensky's insatiable appetite for weapons
which are getting used up faster than can be supplied.
If the West doesn't want Russia to win then they'd
better get their heads together before it's too late and
end it somehow.

Its all very well to say that a peace deal needs to be brokered but the only deal that Putin can now accept is complete victory and that is an unacceptable position.

The Russians are using tactics that are similar to the ones that they used in WWII. That is; send in the penal battalions to get slaughtered as a way to tire out the Ukrainians and then send in fresh troops. Their assumption is that they can eventually overwhelm the smaller Ukrainian army. The only was to counter that approach is with lots of artillery and by hitting the Russian sensitive targets and to do that they Ukrainians need western help

Note that if Putin wins here, there will be other targets later including the Baltic States and Poland. Just remember Hitler and the Munich accord

About the best thing democratic nation states can do is keep putting weapons into the hands of Ukranian men who will use those weapons to kill russian invaders. That is the one and only thing that will do anything at all to stop putin. Anything else is just enabling him and his cabal to keep right on doing as they please ... at the expense of anyone who gets in their way. Sincerely. bruce.
