Gunner, alas I am not in Die Reservieten, and I haven't been to a real Biergarten since 1991 when I last left the newly reunited Germany.

I would get tossed out of a Bavarian Biergarten anyway, since I am a heathen. I actually EAT the outer covering of the weisswurst!

I do miss those spring days in May, sitting under a tree, MaB of Bier in hand, and a fine Jaegerschnitzle on the plate in front of me. YuMMMM!

        Hal,

i think it s time to refresh the memories on Bavaria. Come on i know a good Biergarten close to my location where we can have all these fine things Maß Bier, Schweinshaxn, Jägerschnitzel and so on. BTW i eat the outer covering of the Weißwurst too, like i do it with Wienerle because i payed it too

Currently at the wife's place in Vancouver, BC. Just finished off several skewers of Filipino street meat, (mystery meat, cat, dog, monkey......)

              Mmmm, Mmmm Good!

Actually just marinated pork skewers here, but in the PI from the street vendors, your imagination is the limit.

Gunner, I can't believe you would ask for a cold beer and a margarita. I thought for sure you would be tough enough to handle some Slivovitz.

Yes John, but they had no offer of the good Slivovitz like Manastirka except MJ1 had all of it. So i´ll take what i can get .

I thought this is Culvers Shooting Page?

I've been reading this thread for days now and, possibly because I commented on Gunner's avatar, all you guys are talking about now are Schnitzel und Bier! This is tormenting me. I guess I'll have to cook Schnitzel this weekend...and maybe a Wurst and some Rotkohl on the side.

Don't forget the beer. Like the litre of Kreuzberg dark beer I am enjoying here atop the Kreuzberg itself (near Wildflecken, Rhön Valley, 1986).

May I suggest some pommes frites to go with that weiner schnitzle (or maybe some spätzle) with a prodigious quantity of Weißbier? God, how I miss German (Bavarian!) cuisine....and no Gasthaus anywhere near here...
