"Budweiser marketing did more to curb American drinking in two days than AA managed in 88 years."
    (paraphrased off the web)

I don't usually go through much beer but I was in town yesterday and made it a point to stop by a (usually) fairly busy local store.
    picked up some of these...

...turned out to be fairly tasty

I don't have much of a pallet for suds but I'd call it a nice balance somewhere between sweet and bitter without being too much of either.
I walked into the store thinking San Miguel Dark. This stuff was a shot in the dark. I think I got lucky.

I could look up 'dunkel' but I've been too lazy.
...maybe the next time I sit down to catch my breath.

        You know how that goes.

Gave up canoe beer about 30 or 40 years ago. Now it is Yuengling B&T or Guiness.

Boat beer. Canoe beer. The cheap stuff you can basically drink all day and not get plastered. The not really real beer. Like the evil bud light.

Canoe Beer, as in fukking close to water

                    and yes on the B&T,
the original B&T is a Guinness and a Bass Ale,

poured correctly, and the beer stays separate, one on top of the other , as in black (guinness) and Tan, (bass ale)
easy to do if you pour the Guinness last, over an inverted spoon,

                    and quite delicious

lawn mower beer, or pounders, is another term,

they denote the usually cheap, low ABV (Alcohol By Volume) beer ,
that you can pound all day,

                      Busch, Miller Lite etcetc

Use to like Miller Draft in the cans. They had a scuppernong grape taste. Alcohol must have been near the top of the scale because a couple of them would make me drowsy. AFAIK they're no longer made. Switched to Miller Lite and still taste a little bit of scuppernong. Not a big beer drinker though.

                          Beer pictured is a 4.8%.
I might have one left. The bottles are too skinny.
                          ...don't hold enough

Bottles are too skinny? I will have to remember that one.
