Netflix, Amazon, whatever where ever TV thread

so, since I ditched Cable last month, I have been a big fan of Pluto TV, simply cause they have Star Trek TOS, TNG, and Voyager,
it has become my go to kill an hour or 2 mindless TV channel, despite the fact it has commercials,

tonight, they have Star Trek Picard on,

I had thought of watching the series when i had cable, as in paying for it, but now, free, it is a damn good show,

I may have to find out whatever streamer it is one and start from the beginning, unless I can on demand it on pluto (still figgering that one out)

and while the wife and I have been watching the last season (last released, not last of the series) Great British Bake Off show on netflix, I have also started The Witcher, which also seems like a good show

I managed to find 'Galaxy Express 999' on demand in the anime category.
It took some serious scrolling to find it but it was there.

    if you haven't already-
If your opening screen is the Channel Guide, left click and down one to hi light the On Demand menu then, single click that sucker.

I haven't tried looking for Picard but I seem to remember coming across a bunch of Star Trek spin-offs somewhere.

    (edited part)
Paramount Plus ($9.99 a month) has three seasons

      I found that page,

and when I started using it, I surfed via laptop a bit ,
Star Trek (TOS, TNG and now apparently Picard) on one channel
      Star Trek Voyager on another,

also one Sci Fi channel sometimes shows Farscape

I managed to 'save' them so I can go right to them, as Favorites

also surf thru one of the Black Channels, they sometimes play Luther (excellent show)
      and the British Drama channel,

If you want to watch Picard for free. Download a torrent file program and download the torrent files.

That's how I watched it. Watching Deadwood now.

I am not sure what season they were playing the 1st episode of last night, but Pluto ran it back to back

Season 2 is available thru Pluto on demand,

streaming YouTube (regular flavor. not signed in or the paid version)
If you don't want to sit through the ads at the start of whatever it is you want to watch, click the Back button once then restart your show. Frequently, not always but 9 times out of 10, U-Tube skips the ad and jumps right into your show. Sometimes it runs a different ad. Sometimes it tries to shove the same ad down your throat but most often it goes straight to the show. Get used to doing this, try it halfway through a movie and you'll lose your place but at least you don't have to find out what demographic U-tube has you figured for.

Going by the ads, I'm either unemployed, really... really old or a mush head.
There doesn't seem to be any other possible reason for staying up late and/or being home between 9-5 PM.
            ...not one worth advertising to

we watched one season of Doc Martin on youtube, with the tv hooked up to the laptop,
this was before we got smart TV's,
I don't recall issues with the ads, but I run adblocker on the laptop, and rarely see an ad on youtube,

From what I've read in the past a subscription to YouTube cost about $65 a month and the ads are blocked since they are getting $ from you.

If I didn't have Direct TV I would look into YouTube (paid subscription) since I spend so much time on it anyway.

Older daughter gave us a firestick and password to netflix & amazon. Not all that much there we like. For cable TV, I'm still a 1st 48 junkie. Also like the gold mining/prospecting series. We liked Oak Island in the beginning, but it's pretty much Joke Island now.

I'm ready to believe pirates or whatever bunch that supposedly buried treasure there came back and dug it up. If it's handy, we watch the last 15 minutes & avoid all the "potentially significant clues" drama.

Also like Life Below Zero. Chip was a moderizer on my site back in the day, but never came back after he got out of prison. SW

I binged 'Wednesday' (Netflix) not long after it came out.

I agree with you on Oak Island.
...long on hype, short on substance.

I think I mentioned elsewhere I found "Dust" on YT and have been enjoying that. Also the CGI sci-fi shorts. SW

I believe I mentioned (when you did) Dust has their own streaming channel as well as a U-tube presence.
Either / or, seems about the same.

You might take a look at ESMA on U-tube.
...mostly foreign animation, without being what I think of as 'anime'.

I have a ROKU and AT&T DirecTV Streaming. It has pretty much everything I had with Cox Cable at less than half the price.

Speaking of YouTube. I was told that all five seasons of Andromeda has been released.
