Suggested read: Collapse by Jared Diamond. Societies fail from environmental stresses. Failed societies create refugees. The refugee might cite violence as the proximal cause for taking flight, but the underlying cause is very often rooted in some environmental problem. Climate change exacerbates existing environmental problems. It isn't that hard to connect these dots.

That's no great discovery, & it applies mainly to pre-industrial societies--it's long been known, for ex., that the Maya civilization collapsed after they clearcut larger & larger areas of the tropical forest to increase food production, leading eventually to severe drought; virtually the same conditions caused the downfall of the Khmer civilization.

Diamond is a committed left-wing ideologue who claims that all the accomplishments of European civilization were the result of chance, Europeans merely being in the right place at the right time.

That's after they've been carefully coached on what to tell US immigration by the dozens of US traitor-lawyers who've set up shop just inside the Mexican border.

so does that mean the gangs and crime we have in Chicago is also caused by Climate Change?

or DC, New York, or Cali?

crips and bloods become crips and bloods cause of the weather?

Corrupt military, police, or government is due to climate change?

using that logic, Venezuela's issues are due to 5 cows farting in Montana?

CH, if you're referring to Diamond's other well known book, Guns, Germs and Steel, it should be pointed out that his ideas have more evidence backing them up than does yours, which is that Europeans who came to North America are some magically noble race of people, whose legacy needs special protection by the state.

Seems like you're more interested in posting absurdities than engaging in the subject. Your thesis is what? That climate change isn't happening and therefore we shouldn't give thought to the possibility of disruptions in humanity from the lower latitudes? That plan sounds like a real Trumpian winner.

Climate change has been going on since the creation of the world. I would rather have a Trumpian winner then an Obama whinner!

have there been droughts, crop failures, disasters, etc etc in latin america?

seems all I hear on your favorite news sites is gangs, crimes, economic issues (corruption etc), nothing that would be associated with Climate Change,

have there been big power outages, flooding, etc,

too hot for the AC to work?

              curious tho,

what does it cost to walk or hitch a ride from honduras? or points south?

              food, travel expenses etc,

and again, if Trump is running the border like a concentration camp, etc etc, why pray tell are folks trying to get here?

surely they are being told they are coming to hell?

                    Lyman,

The Google search "climate change Honduras" would have given you this link in less time than needed to write your post or this one.

In rural Honduras, farming has been many residents’ livelihood for generations. But now, rising temperatures and declining rainfall are killing crops and jeopardizing the farmers’ very survival. Special correspondent Marcia Biggs and videographer Julia Galiano-Rios explore how climate change affects these rural populations, driving them into urban areas and ultimately, even out of the country.

Coffee growers are also seeing difficulties. Hard to just plant a different tree for next year's crop!

You know who else keeps meticulous records? Going back decades and longer? Wine growers on estates. They see it too. As do people in the pest control industry. I could go on but you'll be better off digging for yourself.

Crime or climate change. I don't care. They're going to screw up climate change like they did AIDS.

Yep, AIDS actually started off being a good thing till innocent people started getting infected.

In war some innocents get hurt. We never declared war on queers or S. America, it's self inflicted. Any collateral damage is their fault.
                          To continue.
When little Timmy died because of a blood transfusion(because he was flawed) the queers and their advocates(and no doubt his mom) took to marching.
But when at least ten people a week in the U.S. are murdered by illegals it gets swepted away because democrats need votes(or at least flag wavers)and home builders and municipalities need cheap labor. I guess since the illegals mostly murder other Hispanics it's OK. It's OK with me but it isn't nice.

Listening to clients in the hospital I had to ponder what they were really meaning. As to beer, nasty smelly stuff, now a Napoleon Brandy or Makers Mark or peach Schnapps.

As their numbers grow and they become less of a minority they will get bolder and have no preference of who they kill.

'partially due to climate change' mentioned a few times in a PBS article,

no mention of the other partials,,, except the area in question is an arid one,

and how does that become gang related?

and why are the people not standing up and fending off the crime?
