And I'm saying that for all their bellyaching the nutsos have nothing to complain about in terms of their treatment here. Extreme ideologies and intolerance of other views go hand in hand. Vernons, Allens, Boggses think in terms of right/wrong, not agree/disagree. If you disagree with them it opens up the possibility that they're wrong and that's more than they can handle.

No I don't. True, I don't mind a good scrap, but no one is on my ignore list, and the only time I ever sent a "WTF?" to SysAd was when Red was on a serious tear. You're resorting to the "both sides" manta with too broad a brush. In my line of work, disagreement is normal, and not taken as an existential threat to one's own sense of being. If by contrast someone has listened to Limbaugh or AM talk in general for years and internalized how those jocks go after people with contrary views, then that becomes the mindset.
