We've seen what this thing does to nursing homes, given time. Or doctors, nurses, or priests with enough rolls of the dice.

Maybe we need to make the problem simpler for some folks. How many hospital beds are in a 100 mile radius of where you live? How many ICU beds? And how many people live in that same radius? Will there be a bed for you if you get sick bad when this thing is hitting your area?

It's fair to hammer Trump because he's still flailing about for a plan to reopen the country, and that for all of the emergency declarations, the federal government is still awash in red tape. There is a playbook for how to function in a pandemic. Even the Nigerians followed it successfully in their Ebola outbreak.

But what are we hearing now? That the Constitution won't permit the government to deal with epidemics? Curious to see what the Roberts Court does with that.

Added: Trump was not misled. He made a decision that it was all going to blow over. He owns that. Anyone who lets him off the hook for that bad call is not serious about expecting the President to display competence. If little Donny keeps getting A's on his book reports, no matter how poorly written, then after awhile an A means nothing.
did you read any of the other posts in this thread, or the or the others?

it's Trumps fault there are not enough hospital beds? when we (as in you and I ) just had a convo about how the STATE government regulates how many can be built in an area (it's called a Certificate of Need, btw)

you keep on wanted to hammer Trump, and keep on doom and glooming that it is all the fed's (read that as Trump) fault, but apparently only look stories that make you feel better about thinking so,,

which is what you also accuse others of doing,

you comment about wanting folks to have conversations and contribute to threads, then you continue to hammer the same points, that are not always or not even often not biased,

    over
    and

w/o consideration (or maybe comprehension??) of what others are saying,,,

people (even just one) dying is a terrible thing, however it is to be expected ,,,, and you seem to want those that perish stacked up deep to prove a point,

The problem is NOT that there are not enough hospital beds in NYC.

The real problem is there are simply too many people in NYC.

This would be a result of the democrats past and present with their open border policy, kissing the illegal's a$$es, over taxation causing the homelessness, lack of police and not wanting police, piss poor mayors, governors, and senators, liberal lawlessness, and welfare paying poor people to have more children that they can't afford.

The typical liberal response to any blame that they caused.

But at least you got a last word in and that's all that matters to you.

He just talks to hear his head rattle. I think it's a reflex response with him -- he talks without thinking.

                        Lyman,

I invite people, including you, to explain substantively why Trump is in fact doing such an awesome job. Please, feel free. If I gave someone bad advice on rifle headspace you'd be on it quickly. So do the same here, with my poor reviews of the White House and this epidemic.

Do a good job and people will applaud you.

or are you always trying to be the center of the conversation ?
