Here is a recent quote from the man who wants to become president of America:

He is going downhill fast and by the time of the Dem Convention he will be in need of placement in a residential center where he can receive proper care. As a result it looks like Cuomo will be the candidate for the Dems. So far there is no word from Bernie Sanders who must be watching this closely.

Who here thinks that the Federal response to the current pandemic, which is let the states figure it out themselves while the Federal government stockpiles anti-malaria meds, is:

A) the blueprint for how to plan for future pandemics, or

B) a response that Fox News would support if it was a Democratic president proposing it.


To A) I have to think no way does anyone here, even Red, think this is the way to do the next one, much less this one. To B) I think everyone agrees that our friends at Fox would be apoplectic if this response had the Obama name next to it. What does this have to do with Joe? That whatever fumbling he is doing with dates in front of a camera, he still sees the big picture correctly.

If your dog can put qualified people in place, I'm all for him/her. Has to be at least 5 years old though in people years (Constitution by my reading does not explicitly exclude dog years). But seriously the difference to me is a choice between wanting competence in government, and fearing it. Right now we're seeing what world class incompetence across the board in the top levels of government looks like. These guys can't even fire a ship's captain without looking like *sshats to the ratings.
