No, There's nothing absurd about protecting children from any kind of exploitation. But when that definition has been expanded to include the women who throughout history have, LEGALLY and entirely within their cultural norms, become wives & mothers, it's a demonstrably absurd definition.

Child prostitution; it's a tough job but somebodies got to do it. That's a rude way of saying, there will always be a percentage of victims[sic]. Due to poor parenting, no parents, diminished mental capacity(stupid people have stupid children). There will always be creeps to participate in it. It's way worse in some other countries. Some places it's probably considered kind of normal. Some "civilized" countries are way behind the U.S. when it comes to this sort of thing. Get busted for kiddie porn here and it's nearly ten years. We just had a local school teacher(hot teacher) receive twenty yrs. for messing with one or two 13 year old boys. She will never do twenty years, but the sentences are serious when it comes this kind of stuff. I might add that lax rules about morals, little to no religion(and I'm not religious) and an acceptance of porn, transvestism, drugs ect. just doesn't help.

Never from me, but, if you were merely responding to a personal attack on your character & integrity (as opposed to your viewpoint on some issue), not initiating one, you were the victim of an injustice; which is why a moderator incapable or unwilling to make such discriminations serves no useful purpose.

There is a link to the courtroom video where the judge walks Ms. Zamora through the plea agreement. It gets boring pretty quick, but all of the the places where she has to sign, initial, and say "no I don't have questions", it seems more like she is waiving her option to buy an extended warranty on a new car than agreeing to a prison sentence. I agree she is hot, but rules are rules. As a teacher somewhere along the way she learned that kids that age have brains that still have a long way to go developmentally. She damn well knew she was crossing a line which makes her a child predator (albeit a nice looking one). Well now she gets to try her luck at romance with the other ladies in the cell block for the term of her sentence, or fly solo. If she got into this because of "father issues" (a common excuse these days), then maybe the "dad" on the block can help her get right.
