More liberal suppression of conservatives

On Thursday evening, a beauty queen and fan of President Donald Trump was stripped of her title for what she claims is discrimination against her conservative political views.

Zhu still defends the two now deleted tweets that are being put into question.

The first is an incident that dates back to 2018, in which Zhu went up to a Muslim Student Association booth celebrating World Hijab Day and declined to wear a hijab when prompted. She then tweeted:


"There is a 'try a hijab on' booth at my college campus.

So you're telling me that it's now just a fashion accessory and not a religious thing? Or are you just trying to get women used to being oppressed under Islam?"

"I said that it was (getting women used to) being oppressed because there are so many women in Middle Eastern countries that are being punished and stoned for refusing to wear a hijab," said Zhu. "Nobody is talking about that in the West because all they see is everyone being at peace, but that is the beauty of America."

The second is a reply to another used in which Zhu says:


"Did you know the majority of black deaths are caused by other blacks? Fix problems within your own community before blaming others."

"This applies for every community," Zhu said. "If there is a problem, fix things in your own community before lashing out at others and trying to find an issue there. That is all I wanted to say. It is not a problem against black people. Obviously I am not racist or stuff like that."

Zhu said that Miss World America should be more specific and clearly define what "insensitive" means, as she does not believe anything she posted was insensitive.

Now can some of our left wing friends tell us exactly what is "insensitive" about these posts? This is clearly suppression of free speech.

When I worked in Hamilton, Ohio police of all colors hated to go into the 2nd Ward of federal housing due to the crime. I worked the 2nd Ward and when I drove in a million eyes watched me! Because I was mental health and there to "help" the brothers and good to the kids I was left alone. It was not unusual to see drug activity anytime of the day. When I first started working Hamilton I asked one of the cops where I could go shooting with my .45 ALL of the cops at the station voiced out loudly,,."2nd Ward!"

The civil war initially had nothing in the world to do with slavery as everyone knows. This is a black persons view of the war--that it was fought over them.

Personally I think Trump may be performing an unintended service to the country by pushing back against the bounds of political correctness when it comes to racial speech. In the old days, people just said "I hate n******", or whatever. It was out there where everyone could see it. Now racists can't say that anymore and so they talk in code about crime, welfare checks, music, food, family structure, or some other marker that is related in the minds of their target audience, while everyone denies being racist. The great liberal mistake continues to be to think that if you ban vile forms of expression, then vile attitudes will in time fade. Evidence shows this is clearly not true. Ironically, racists themselves have warmed to the PC speak, because they find talking in code to be the slyer play. By taking us back, Trump might be helping us move forward with a conversation that really has stalled in recent decades.

Vern you are right, the first thing in the 12 step is to admit a problem with ethanol and one cannot handle it. Blaming other's for one's problem just reinforces the problem making the problem harder to solve.
